Wooden Botanical Flower Press
Invite children to explore nature and preserve their finds with this wooden botanical flower press. A simple, satisfying activity for Practical Life, Art, and Science work: collect, press, and create with dried specimens.
How to use
- Collect fresh flowers, leaves, or small plants during a nature walk or in the garden.
- Open the press and place the plants between the layered cardboard sheets.
- Align the wooden plates and tighten the easy-turn knobs to flatten the plants.
- Leave for a few days; remove beautifully preserved, flat specimens.
Use dried botanicals for art projects, nature journals, greeting cards, classroom displays, or science observations. Children practice careful hand movements, patience, and observation of the natural world.
- Size: 17.5 × 17.5 × 4.5 cm
- Ages: 3+
- Materials: printed wooden plates, layered cardboard inserts, metal posts with turning knobs
Teacher tip: For best results, choose thin, fresh plants and blot very moist flowers with paper before pressing. Check after 2–5 days depending on humidity.
