This complete Montessori Pink Series set includes 10 pink wooden boxes with lids, each containing six laminated picture cards and six matching word cards.
The material supports the child’s transition from concrete objects to the more abstract work of matching pictures and written words. After working with Pink Series objects, the child continues with familiar pictures and matching word cards, gradually moving toward independent reading from cards.
The word cards feature short phonetic words. Nearly all follow the simple three-letter Pink Series pattern, allowing the child to hear and read the sounds from left to right.
Children may match each picture card with its word card, build the words with the Movable Alphabet, sort cards by vowel sound, and gradually read the word cards independently. The boxes keep the material organized and allow the teacher to present only a small selection at a time.
The set supports early reading, writing, vocabulary development, and confidence with phonetic decoding.
